I'll try for 10 for June please. It's an aspirational target as we are away for a while but I will try.3

29/31 for me please, cathybird. I am enjoying an AF month.I would like to go AF next month too but I may struggle with this. A close friend passed away very suddenly and unexpectedly recently. The funeral is in June, I will be going. There is a wake planned for afterwards and I’ve already had texts from our joint friends saying “come for food and a few drinks afterwards - XXX would have wanted you to.” They are probably right in saying that, too. I could come up with a ‘white lie’ easily enough. But I think - this sounds a bit fanciful - it’s somehow a slur on my friend’s memory to stand up at their wake and come out with some bull**** reason not to raise a glass to them. Just doesn’t feel right. So maybe I will have a few drinks on that one occasion and had better make it 29/30 for June please, cathybird. Thank you.4

These days one of the ways I approach drinking (or not) is to ask myself some questions. Am I angry, sad, stressed, alone etc? Don't drink. The final question is: "would this occasion be more enjoyable/meaningful if I have a drink?" Most of the time the answer is that no it wouldn't but sometimes the answer is yes. I think this would be one of those occasions for me. XSeason_of_Mist said:I would like to go AF next month too but I may struggle with this.
