Giving Up/Cutting Down Alcohol Thread Part 17

Declaring early too for my Happy New Year - being late is obviously at bad habit 😂😂 so 7/15 please.
Sadly I really struggled last night with no wine- Friday evening is still, even though not working full time, my 'aaah and relax' moment and all the tea did not achieve that same feeling. But I did get through it and survive to tell the tale. Let's hope next Friday is easier. I'm not cutting out completely, might be wiser but I do really enjoy wine especially with a meal. However trying to cut down dramatically for the next few weeks, partly to achieve some weight loss too. I think I am happy with no wine on a school night - 4AFDs and 3 days with alcohol seem fine to me as long as the consumption does not go too high on days when I am having a drink if that makes sense. At least this thread has helped me out of the 'oh I've finished that bottle, let's open another one mentality' which was happening far too frequently. Thanks to everyone who posts on this thread and especially Cathybird for keeping us all straight and finding fabulous emojis.

Happy Saturday everyone, I’ve slipped a bit this last 2 days. 😦 Had a glass of wine on Thursday night and two last night. Planning to have none today so 13/265 for me please Cathybird.Pay ALL your debts by Xmas 2016 - No 30 £981.00/£3000:

Well done maggie 👏. It does get easier honestly. I continue to reward myself at the start of the weekend with a treat, usually chocolate but if you are trying to lose weight find something else because you're right tea doesn't really hit the spot 😃. Good luck, I think your plan of at least four days AF and moderate drinking on the other days a good one. X15 please cathybird. Thank you.
My Dry January is going well and I'm not tempted to drink. I do however feel sad that my cousin's milestone birthday party cannot go ahead this evening due to Covid. Not because I probably would have had a 'dryish January' and had a drink but because of all the family occasions all over the country during the last two years that haven't been able to take place due to this horrible virus ☹️.

I’m up to 11.
Last last night, I am surprised at myself that I’m not even really craving wine as weekends are my times to drink.
Im sure I’ll be back to normal next week, but for now I’m liking it.
Although I woke up feeling refreshed this morning, I still did nothing today. Maybe it’s not the drink, maybe I’m just lazy! But I am getting over covid, so maybe I should just give myself a break.Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010
