    19/25 for me today x
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

Well done @alt80 - you're right, booze doesn't make a bad day better... but it's real progress to reach that conclusion!
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?
  • Counting today as 20/20 please cathybird. I will have a few drinks over Christmas but I am hoping to have no more than five days that are non-AF for the rest of this month, this would mean I will have had just 15 occasions where I’ve drank in the whole of 2021, or put another way 350 AF days which would be my best ever since I first started to cut back sharply in 2018.
  • Just thinking about what I’ve typed there. As of today I’ve only drank on 10 occasions in the whole year and we are now up to 23rd Dec, obviously that works out to less than one drinking day per month. Between April and December this year I only drank on one single occasion.

It really doesn’t seem like such a huge leap from that point, to going completely AF all of the time, I’m just not sure it’s something I’d want to do, even though I am fairly confident that I could do it. Something for me to ponder and think through properly.

Thanks all. Another AF day today making 23 this month. Booze absolutely does not make a bad day better lot of people would do well to remember that, think quite a few of us have seen that on here through being more mindful about drinking generally.

@Season_of_Mist whilst it may not be a huge leap to give up alcohol entirely choosing not to but to monitor your intake and drink when you want to if only 15 days I fail to see anything wrong in that so long as there is no underlying risk etc.
