I've been missing again, oops. I'm up to 10, so know I won't make my target, but I'm okay with that. I've done better than I have in the past.
Had a bit of a wake up call. Over indulged on Friday a bit and although I don't get hangovers as such, there are a few blanks and there is the "oh god, what did I do/say?" feeling.
Plus a close family member completely destroyed a family meal yesterday by getting drunk (they are known for their issues) and so it has really struck a chord with me. Why do we do it? What is the point? Not saying I'm off alcohol forever, but it definitely has more downsides to upsides.
My dad and brother are both teetotal for a few years now and I am seriously thinking of joining them.
Still too scared to create a proper target for September yet, but that may change!Pink Sproglettes born 2008 and 2010

Still too scared to create a proper target for September yet, but that may change!I also want to change my increased lockdown habits and with routines starting up again in September I’m hopeful that will make me stay on track.Sorry to hear the meal was spoiled.A close family member of mine went teetotal also after a similar situation. It’s been over 5 years now. Unfortunately they have dementia which is linked to years of over drinking. That also plays on my mind.16 days for August and a target of 15 for September please. I like seeing more green on my drink app. I’m also going to try to reduce the amount I drink of an evening by 1 glass, I feel that’s manageable.Live for the moment and plan for the future6 -
Lots of wise words and much food for thought @CuppaTea and @pollyanna24. Thank you both.😊
16/10 AFDs please Cathy5 -
I’m enjoying the bank hol with a few beers while googling on the settee. Tomorrow will be alcohol free, so I’ll finish the month on 16/13 tomorrow. Prob the best number I’ve had in a while5

Hello,
could I join you please. I just yesterday rejoined these forums after a long boozy lock down break. Complex story and you heard all the excuses and blame games before so I won't bore you. But I realised I have a problem (so does hubby but I can only change myself) and need change.
So, as I'm not ready to fully confide in friends or want to try sorting it without going public IYKWIM I thought I come here for some accountability.
I'm aiming for 22 days in September. Not going tea total but tackling the mid week drinks first.
Thanksfinally tea total but in still in (more) debt (Oct 25 CC £1800, loan £6453, mortgage £59,924/158,000)7
