My Champagne moment today was watching the play Phedre online with The National Theatre at home. I was totally engrossed in this play, it just captivated my attention and held me hostage. For me it was a 10/103

Beautiful flowers.:) I saw some really pretty flowers on IG in a local park that I want to visit.
LL - Are you planning on getting a house or a flat on your next move? I am already looking at some flats near here on Rightmove that I might think about moving to when my husband retires. I was thinking about moving out of this area but I like it so much so far that I might just stay here.4 -
Thank you for your empathy, ladies 😇 It's a complete pain, but as you said, Helen, extremely common unfortunately. Annoyingly I now have internet issues (on my phone which is my only means of getting connected here) so haven't been able to post till now....grrrr!
The rose is David Austin's The Mary Rose, Carol 😊
Recent champagne moments - enjoying watching coverage of the Chelsea Flower Show on TV (hope to get there in person one day!) and finding a velvet loveseat (aka giant armchair, lol!) on ebay. I'd been looking at some for upwards of £1000 - which was way more than we wanted to spend - but stumbled across a gorgeous one for under £100. Haven't got it here yet, but think it will be perfect for when the living room reconfiguration is complete 😁4 -
My 2 hot pink roses are in bloom, smelling lovely! I bought them from Aldi about 7 years ago for about €3.

Champagne moment today watching about 6 or 7 starlings all crammed into the bird bath at the same time! Why they don't queue like the sparrows do I don't know!Debt free and Keeping on Track4

My Champagne moments today:
I went to my local Odeon to see the silver cinema showing of the film The Phantom Of The Open. It was based on the true story of the golfer Maurice Flitcroft. I laughed out loud so many times watching this comedy drama. It was also such a heart warming film for me. I give this film 9.5/10My ticket only cost me £3.50 and I got a free cup of tea worth £2.20
I spent £2.50 of my nectar points on my lunch from Sainsbury's.
This evening I had another writing Masterclass with Luke Barnes and the Neighbourhood Voices group. It was not as engaging as previous masterclasses with other industry professionals. Luke did not want us to speak, just answer his questions in the chat. The time dragged for me and I actually started to fall asleep! I had to shake myself awake. He did eventually allow us to speak, after more than an hour, but it was still a strange masterclass overall. He was not really sharing his expertise with us or giving us real tools we could use with our own plays, which was a real shame. I did come up with another idea for a completely different play and when I fed it back to Luke, he said 'I have never heard of a play like that' so I just replied 'that is because it is my own unique idea'. Luke seemed so surprised that someone on this programme could actually come up with an original, viable idea for a play.5 -
I hope those pics show up. My new local area.:)2025 GOALS

Wow that looks absolutely beautiful WEDNESDAY 😍 X"You can't stop the waves, but you can learn to surf"

That looks lovely, Wednesday, reminds me of when we had a house not too far from Frinton-on-Sea 😊 I do miss the sea (30 mins drive from a mostly deserted sandy beach now), especially as I'm a Pisces and was born in a building overlooking the Hampshire coast, but we chose countryside this time and don't think we'll be moving again 🙄
I'm still having connectivity issues so struggling to read/post 🙁 but today's champagne moment was getting a load more plants in the ground - things I've grown/brought on myself, so no real cost involved 😁5 -
Wednesday. What a beautiful “back yard”. 😂🤣. Stunning.5
