Hello
I have just opened an isa with ii. I understand that the platform fee can be paid by direct debit but didnt realise that any individual fund charges come out of the isa itself. Does anybody know a way around this, as I don't want money to come out of the isa (as it can not be replaced). Or am I worrying over nothing?!

What individual fund charges? If you're referring to the OCF then that's taken care of internally within each fund and isn't something you pay separately, regardless of which platform you use....0

The only other charge you should have should be the OCF - think of it as already being deducted-from the price that you see. You will not have to actually pay any other charges.I don't care about your first world problems; I have enough of my own!0

And transaction charges and incidental charges. However, most just disregard those due to the flaws in the EU directive that allows multiple calculation methods resulting in different outcomes.IvanOpinion said:The only other charge you should have should be the OCF - think of it as already being deducted-from the price that you see. Transaction charges can, in part, be paid outside of the ISA by opting for a higher platform fee option that comes with reduced trading fees. You might end up paying more overall though.

I think dunstonh was talking about the fund disclosed transaction costs not the platform trade charges.masonic said:Transaction charges can, in part, be paid outside of the ISA by opting for a higher platform fee option that comes with reduced trading fees. Yes, thought that was probably the case, but while we are itemising all of the expenses it is worth remembering there are two layers of them.Alexland said:

The platform will issue a cost and charges disclosure each year and it will break down the charges and have a column for TC & IC/Other. So, its best to be aware of its existence even if the information is flawed.
