Work colleague has just moved to start a new life/home
Doesn't have a PC but thinks a tablet will do for just browsing etc.
She's looking for a reasonably priced android tablet (doesn't like iStuff)
It's not really something I'm up to speed with, so, does anyone have any ideas?

i've owned a Samsung Tab A 10.1" which was excellent and changed last year to Huawei Media Pad M5 Lite which has also been superb. both well within budget and excellent for browsing, email and watching Netflix, Amazon Prime or any streaming media actually. good quality screen and both were not laggy at all.2

If it’s her only device than a laptop maybe the way to go. As it will do everything and more than a tablet will do. I I usually buy renewed from Amazon or CEX and not had any problems.0

Maybe a desktop. It will do everything a laptop can do and will be much better at it and far cheaper in the long run.0

If you are determined on a tablet, then I would stick with Samsung and go for the Samsung Tab 10.1
However, as above, you might want to consider a laptop (Windows 10, not Chromebook) - Amazon have a good selection between £200 and £300. Make sure you choose 128GB or above, not the 64GB ones.0 -
Try Kindle HD fire, fast processor and expandable memory,Android OS.0

Problem with Kindle is (I think, may be wrong) is that you have no access to the Google Play store??0

I'd second the Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1, it's probably about £160. I'd always want a desktop PC myself as the first bit of kit but I understand PC sales are much lower than they once were so I think it's entirely reasonable to get a tablet in her circumstances.1
