    The op allowed their daughter to use the play account. They effectively authorised the transaction by doing this as they didn't control it.

    Giving a child the password to an account linked to a credit card is pretty much doing that.

    I think adding it to the account as a payment method is the key action here.  Its not like (so far as I can see) the child asked mum/dad for their card to buy something, bashed the number in and then bought the app.  It sounds like it might have been added when the Play account was created (much like console setup, you get nagged to feed it something for payment but you can skip it).

    What a set of replies! OP wanted to know how to stop further charges and most here want to give lectures about the inadvisability of allowing children access to a password protected account.

    Agreed. The initial payment may not be refundable, but the app publisher being obstructive when it comes to cancelling a "subscription" is tantamount to fraud.
