I'd ring Asda Customer service and ask what the situation is for both numbers. NO SIM card may indicate that the SIM was put in the wrong way round - as usually if the SIM is not working but being read, it will say INVALID SIM, not NO SIM. Depending on the time lapsed on the two SIMs, and in passing, my condolences for your loss, Asda may have suspended the accounts, and if you explain the sad circumstances, they should restore the number (and credit). A similar thing happened with my father, whose SIM was not used over the six month period, and Asda very nicely restored the number and the credit. Asda Mobile customer services number is 0800 079 2732 from a phone other than your Asda one, and is free, even from another mobile.1
