  • On 16th December I was delivered short to the value of £147.90! (300 cigarettes for my sister, for which she had already paid me)
  • The delivery was contactless due to the driver not wearing a mask and, and a vulnerable person in household, so he was asked to leave the delivery inside the porch.
  • As soon as the driver left I went to bring the delivery in
  • The cigarettes were missing
  • I phone straight away. They said they would get back to me.
  • Since then, I have been constantly told that a refund would take 3-5 days. And I have rang up several times during this time.
  • Each time I’ve been told I will be refunded, they are awaiting info off the depot, and other reasons it’s taking so long.
  • Today I’ve been told to take legal advice (after phoning yet again) no refund!
  • Not only have I been lied to several times, but at no point have they contacted ME!
  • Just a warning to those out there who may do online orders. They will NOT refund, no matter what they tell you the first 5 times or so you ring them!
  • I will never use Morrison’s on line again, nor in store when it becomes safe to do so!

It has only been 13 days and you're taking legal action?

The 5 days for a refund is usually 5 working days, so that should have been by 23rd December. So the 24th was one day late, then xmas day, boxing day, sunday, bank holiday, then today is the second day late.

Oh, and not forgetting it has just been Christmas and demands for delivery due to Covid, so no doubt a little bit busy...

They made a mistake and left something in the van. It happens.

Also, you state that "at no point have they contacted me", then your next bullet point says "no matter what they tell you the first 5 times or so they ring you". So which is it? No contact, or they have contacted you over 5 times?

Stop phoning them, and contact them in writing explaining the error and ask for a refund.

Smoking would appear to be a very expensive habit.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

No, THEY told me to take legal advice 😂
They have said no refund will be forthcoming though!
  • Even with social distancing, if there was 150 pounds of something in my grocery order I'd be getting the driver to confirm it's there before leaving.

It doesn't sound like they're not going to refund you, just sounds like delays. I'd definitely send a quick email explaining you've not received it yet.

    Understandable.
The OP was told up-thread here that it would be better on Praise, Vent & Warnings so she re-posted on that board.
