Thanks for all the replies. I finally received the cheque for the full amount through the post today. 2 days short of a month after my initial request. (lets hope it doesn't bounce:p)

Only thing I dont understand is that they originally told me the cheque was issued on the 11/12/07 but its got a issue date of 02/01/08 so they all seem to be a bunch of liars.

I went to the store on the 31/12 and they told me that head office approved it only on the 27/12 but the issue was raised on the 11/12 and not a cheque as I was informed over 3-4 times. They told me it could take another 7-14days:rolleyes:

I felt like making a right scene with all the sales crowd in, but a friend of mine who came with me calmed me down

Durian - Check your private messages, I have responded to your message.

I don't think I will ever be buying from them again, they have been appalling sorting this refund and their customer service is most likely the worst i have come across in my life

When I went to buy the sofa, the sales people were over me like a rash yet when I requested a refund no one (mangers etc) ever were available.

Even the bloke who sold me the sofa I could see was avoiding me, which whilst annoying I found quite funny.

Good news Millionaire, pay your cheque in, let it clear, then write to them again and ask for the interest;)
