I just wish that some judges would get parking tickets and have to engage with these companies. Although most judges are fair there is still the perception that the defendant should have been able to sort out the matter with the Claimant without reaching the court stage.

They do not realise that it is like dealing with the mafia particularly the ex-clampers.

@beamerguy, beaten to the punch by our fast-out-of-the-trap octogenarian!  Let your MP know! 😄 😊
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hopefully stories like this will help reach the people that really need to hear it!
  • I’m a disabled pensioner I parked in a euro car park because everywhere else was full and just needed to drop something off and not being able to walk far I put up my blue badge and went to drop it off I’ve just received a parking fine for £85 or £50 if I pay within time limit I was actually there for 28 mins as there was a que and I walk slowly I’m so angry with them
I have paid it as I didn’t want to have to find £85 from my pension but even £50 was hard enough

I am so sad you felt pressured to pay them £50.  You would have been safe parking on-street which is always OK for people with Blue Badges, even on double yellow lines.

Please do get your revenge.  The Government is about to publish their analysis to support resurrecting the 2022 Parking Code of Practice and will want evidence from all sides.

Please show your PCN to the Government (the DLUHC) in August and tell them what you said to us "I have paid it as I didn’t want to have to find £85 from my pension but even £50 was hard enough".

£50 is a lot for most people.

Please come back in August to join in the motorists' response and evidence to the DLUHC.  We will be actively engaged in it.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
