dcb legal on b of Highview Parking - letter of claim - not keeper nor driver at time of issue of pcn

Dear All
I have read the newbies guide on how to beat a private PCN but I am not sure how to classify my case.
Briefly, received a Letter of Claim on 22 Dec 2020, although dated 16 Dec 2020, from dcb legal acting on behalf of Highview Parking Ltd. Claim is for £165, no breakdown is given, for a PCN apparently issued in Dec 2015 in a retail park.
This is the first time I am hearing of this as the car was sold on 23 Sep 2015 and the new keeper details were completed and sent to DVLA. We subsequently moved so if the original PCN was sent to the old address then I am not aware of it. I don't know why the new keeper details were not updated by the DVLA.
I see that Highview Parking is now part of GroupNexus so,
a) can dcb legal issue proceedings for a company that no longer exists?
b) do I let them take me to court before letting them know I was not the keeper nor driver of the vehicle at the time of any alleged contravention?
c) do I ask for more details from Highview Parking Ltd even though I was not the keeper of the vehicle at the time?
d) if I do contact them, should this be done by post or email and when should this be done?
I am a little lost with this, so I would be really grateful if you could assist me.
Thank you.

Get a confirmatory letter from the DVLA of the date of your transfer of the vehicle. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

You must reply to DCBLegal within the time (30 days) to inform them that you were neither the keeper or the driver of the car at the material time and confirming that your correct address for service is (new address they have traced you to) and that they and their client MUST now erase the old address from all databases. And that if their client sues you even though they know that you were neither the keeper nor the driver (the car was sold on xx/xx/xx) you will sue their client for at least £500 for data abuse and harassment.
See a previous letter I've shown more than once - I originally wrote a version of it to DCBLegal back in March and they never came back to the person I was helping (yet). They do not like threats of counteclaims! Search the forum, I have no time to find it.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Please do as Coupon-mad says.
Time and time again, we see this Robo claimer, DCBL, take on cases that they have no clue about.
They are on a cloud dreaming exercise seeking mugs. Once told they are heading for a car crash, ignorance steps in and they fail to respond. I have seen this myself
Understand that DCBL work on the fear factor especially with that utterly stupid TV programme, "Cant pay, we'll take it away" .... POINT THEM to the car crash they can expect1 -
What is the name of the retail park??

Hi Coupon-mad, I have been searching using the 'Advanced' search and have been through all your posts between 7 Jan and 30 Apr 20 but have not been able to locate the letter you refer to. In case I am doing something wrong, can you or anyone else provide any further assistance for me to be able to find it please?
Thank you in advance.

You can't use the top parts about two claims and 'cause of action estoppel' or the court cases about that, but the rest gives you the style of writing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thank you in advance. While the following is not the DCBL-specific one CM refers to, here is one she drafted for firing at another PPC earlier this year. I'm sure there'll be plenty in it to put you in the mood ...... and on the right track. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum.
