Hello Ladies,
I ache all over from my exertions yesterday, so no deep cleaning in my bedroom today. I did some present wrapping this morning and I will wait until later to do a bit more wrapping, then call it a day.
I have had to take painkillers and I am resting right now and will get plenty more rest today with my feet up and hopefully I will be able to resume deep cleaning my bedroom tomorrow.5 -
Good luck on the new job Chanie.
That booster jab has floored me. It hurt as well unlike the first two. My arm is still sore. I am supposed to be going out next Thursday so I'm hoping I feel better by then!
Not much fabbing at all going on for me.
I have to order some xmas cards at least today.

Hello Ladies,
I have finished wrapping all of my daughter's birthday presents and every family members Christmas presents. I let my son-in-law know and he is coming to collect them all tomorrow. So I will get to see my daughter and son-in-law for a another visit, before the family celebration for my daughter's 40th birthday on the 10th December.
I am making great inroads with deep cleaning my bedroom. I am having to pace myself, because of my Arthritis, but the difference is already visible even though I have not finished. I ache all over again, but the painkillers I take are effective. I will rest tomorrow as much as possible, then in a day or two tackle some more of my bedroom.

Hello Ladies,
Thanks Chanie.
I had a lovely visit with my daughter and son-in-law, despite the rain and cold yesterday. As I live in a 1st floor maisonette and my daughter is in a wheelchair, we just have to visit on the grounds of my estate, as she cannot gain access to my actual home. We had such a laugh together.
My sister R is visiting a friend in London, so her and her friend also paid us a visit yesterday, so it was such a lovely family day for my younger daughter, my younger son and I.
As the bulk of wrapped presents have gone out of my living room, it almost looks normal again. I have 3 Christmas presents to post to my sisters today.

Thanks Chanie - I am feeling better although I am still quite tired.
I was up early today and went to post off a few xmas cards. It feels really cold to me as this year has been so mild.
I have been decluttering and have four more bags of clothes and book to donate. My husband took two bags today. I am going to declutter as least one handbag in the next two bags. I'm going to be careful not to do any more charity shopping unless I really need anything as I am getting sick of decluttering before we move.
I am working on using up products like various body lotions and have been putting them on each night.
The only things I wanted to buy were a coat for my husband and I want to get myself a winter hat.
I am going out on Thursday to meet my brother for a meal and drinks. I am going to wrap up warm!

Another lurgy......caught from grandson. Think I need to boost my immune system. Although, like Wednesday, I think having my flu and covid jabs also floored me. Feeling decidedly unfab at the moment. 😂Have made a start on the Christmas decorations. Other than that nothing much happening.5

Helen I hope you get better soon. I’m sure this is the first of many lergies your grandsons will give you 😂. I don’t know if I ever mentioned getting headlice from the children….
Due to the time of year, my new job is pretty slow, so I have lots of downtime, but things should pick up after Christmas. As I’m working from home, I’ve tried to avoid putting the heating on until mid afternoon, to try and keep my heating bill reasonable. But, I’ve realised that being a bit chilly is making me feel hungry, so as well as my dressing gown, im using a hot water bottle, today, to see if that helps.
I had my hair done, so that’s my first fabbing task for Christmas. .4 -
Hello Ladies,
Helen I wish you a speedy recovery.
I went to the discussion group at Blackfriars Settlement and it was just what I needed to take my mind off the anniversary of my granddaughter's death. There was lots of discussion about the latest variant of Covid and the upcoming Christmas dinner and dance which takes place on Wednesday 15th December.
I have offered to cook jerk chicken to supplement the usual Christmas dinner. So on Tuesday 14th December I will be preparing and cooking at least 50 portions of jerk chicken in the kitchen at Blackfriars Settlement. I would have found it much easier to prepare and cook the chicken in my own home, but the facilitators told me, that I need to do it in the kitchen on the premises. I just wanted to give something back to a charity that has been so supportive to me personally and to others locally, especially with issues concerning this pandemic.
My Tesco grocery delivery got cancelled this morning, due to system issues. It is a minor issue, as we have more than enough for the next 2 days, until the replacement delivery arrives on Saturday evening.7 -
sugar how nice of you to offer to cook the jerk chicken for your group. I’m sure your group will all love their Xmas dinner.
