  • Final pay day of the year and another £500 paid off. Heading into 2022 with £3619 to pay.

Sorted through my old ski gear and lots of stuff doesn’t fit so had a Vinted session, £16 made so far.

3 weeks off work, going to go on lots of walks, hopefully a trip away which has been postponed 3 times and try to spend minimal money!!

  • Everything I put on Vinted has sold, over £100 made and popped onto the credit card so down to £3207 left to pay, very exciting!! Will have another sort and see if there’s anything else I can put up!

No council tax next month means I can pay off just over £700 next pay day! Coming down in big chunks feels sooo gooood!

£100 to get me through til payday on the 21st, which is pretty good. Off for lunch tomorrow and a roast next weekend then other than that trying to eat mainly from freezer and cupboards for the month. Might even have a few £ left!

Have planned a few days out and a weekend away in March. Feeling pretty good about the coming months 🙂

5 paydays til debt freedom 🥳🥳

  • Pay day again… did okish budgeting wise this month.. decided to rejoin the gym so that did go on credit card but I’ve already been to 6 classes in the last 3 weeks so I’m pleased with that decision. And now pay day has arrived it’s paid off and budgeted in for feb.

Have paid off another chunk of credit card this morning, so down to £2693 to pay. So pleased to drop onto another k bracket 🥳

no council tax for feb and march so that helps, an extra £150 each month to the debt.

also had the dentist this week and my starling pots are working well…. Something I’d usually put on my credit card and my pot was just ready and waiting to pay. Thankfully all fine with the teeth 😬

A reasonably quiet couple of weeks to come, then a mini break weekend away which was paid for long ago which is good. Looking forward to that.

    That’s all for now!

  • Well, a major spanner in the works, I’ve been served notice on my flat  :'( I’ve lived here for years. Not entirely sure what my step is but with the increase in rents I can’t afford a flat where I currently live. The world is my oyster but sometimes that doesn’t help as I’ve no idea where to go!
Will revert to paying mins off the debts until I’ve moved so i can pay fees/new deposit…etc

    Any words of wisdom… I don’t like change 🤣

  • Oh dear - that's pants.
You obviously had no idea that was coming.  Did they give a reason?
How much notice did they give you - could you negotiate (either with the notice period or rent payable if the landlord is looking for more money)?
  • thanks! They’re selling the flat, it’s gone on the market but no interest yet… they’ve agreed I can stay until it sells or go if I find somewhere else to live. So hopefully it won’t sell fast as I’m in denial and haven’t really started looking!!

Pay day has been again… stuck to the minimums so £50 paid and down to £2643 to pay… but £900 into my flat move fund so I’m less panicky now! I’ll save again for the next 2 paydays then crack on with the credit cards again, they’re on 0% til September and April 2023 so plenty of time to get them down still.

Well a big day for me today, feel like I’ve neglected this diary but I’ve still kept focus doing the NSD challenge and pay off your debt by Xmas.

I’m in my new home, and I just made my final payment to my credit card! So that’s it! I’m all done…. 18 years of fluctuating debt levels… a light bulb moment when I lost my job in March 2020 with £12k debt.

All credit cards and student loans paid off! Gone! Done!

Next pay check all my money will be mine! No more paying £500 and having zero life!

Next challenge… to keep to budgeting and stay out of debt!
