    Thank you joedenise, fingers crossed.  Not heard anything as yet.  And no one has owed up to the mystery parcels as yet.  No more have been delivered though

    Well this week we have stuck to the meal plan and as tomorrow is food delivery day, our fridge is looking a little bare.  Really pleased we have stuck to it.  We were not keen on todays risotto but everyone ate it as we were all hungry, we were not going to waste it and there is not much else in the fridge to eat.

    Thank you debtfreeoneday. If I haven't heard by lunch time I will give the garage a call.  We have a lift into work/school today so much easier and only need to walk home (downhill!) so my poor legs will feel better.  I am actually surprised they are not in pain this morning.  It does prove I have become even un-fitter than I thought and need to not rely on the car for the shorter journeys.

    Right must get ready - have a great day everyone :)

    Well still no car but I do have a diagnosis (although they hadn't got round to looking at it until I rang them around 3pm yesterday).  I need a new alternator.  With fitting and vat it will be around £350.  I have asked them to look at the exhaust as this was something on the mot from last year that may need sorting before this years mot.  Might as well if I can afford it as it will have to be done, plus means no other days needed at the garage hopefully.  We have a lift this morning but not home but that is fine.
    I have been tired when getting home so I haven't done very much at all and the house is a mess.  Need to do something today as we are back to the stage of hoping no one turns up at the door.  Ok must get on as DD2 has not come downstairs yet and if she wants a lift she needs to appear very soon.  Have a great day :)

    Good news is that I got my car back yesterday evening, just in time for the kids clubs.  Today I had the windscreen chips sorted out. Total left in the car fund pot is £10.10.  Fingers crossed nothing else goes wrong with it for a while.  The steering is so light now and I am guessing it must have been going slowly before as it was a little harder to move than now.  Anyway we were all happy it was sorted.

    I have also paid out £30 for a new phone battery for DD1.  The guy who did it for us is well known around here for phone repairs but it looks like the edge of the screen now has a permanent faint yellow line down it.  I could hardly see it but DD1 started moaning at me that he has broken it.  If it was that noticeable I would have taken it back and said something, but it really isn't a problem and is probably from taking it apart to change the battery.  It does not affect the use of the phone at all and now she can use it for longer than 15 min before charging again.  It also means that she can return the other phone to her kind friend.  Think we may just be a little hormonal!

    We have made it to the weekend.  DD1 and DS had a PD day today and from the looks of them when I returned home at lunch time, they had not long been awake.  No real plans this weekend other than trying to sort the house out ready for the Christmas decorations to go up maybe next weekend?  It is the Christmas festival in town this weekend starting with the lights being turned on tonight.  We may head there tomorrow for the street fair depending on our energy and the weather.  This is the first year that I haven't decorated a tree for the church or the museum.  I said I will again next year but wanted a break this year.

    OK must go and make dinner, pork steaks, roast potatoes, veg and gravy - Yum

    Good morning to you all.  Could have stayed in bed a little longer this morning but DD1 has her driving lesson this morning.  So I am up and snuggled up under blanket (seem to always be here) and have magic radio playing as they are now 100% Christmas songs.
    Bits for today:
    * I really want to make an effort on getting the paperwork sorted today so I don't need to keep thinking about it.
    * I need to drop off our menu choices at the pub where me and the admin girls are going for our Christmas meal.
    * I also need to try and figure out how to get on to my British gas account as i am having trouble logging on as they have swapped me over to the new account
    *  Washing
    *  Hoovering
    *  Make the pizza dough for tonights dinner
    *  Start list for concert
    *  Book club Christmas party
    *  Check calendar is up to date

    OK I am sure it will not all get done but maybe by the end of tomorrow it will be much further on than now.   Time is flying by and starting to run out of time.

    Have a great day everyone

    Great news that you had the car fund and could do the repairs in one go.  Must be a great sense of achievement. :)

    Thank you @24ta yes it is great to know that it is all covered.  As I now only have £10.10 in that pot I am a little anxious in case anything else happens.  I will start filling the pot up again this lot of wages but I only put a fairly small amount in it each month so it will take a little while to top up.

    OK so far I have:

    * I really want to make an effort on getting the paperwork sorted today so I don't need to keep thinking about it.  - Started but not yet done, getting there though - I am determined to sort this today as this is the main task today
    * I need to drop off our menu choices at the pub where me and the admin girls are going for our Christmas meal. - Will do when taking DD1 to work and collecting free Costa hot choc on the way
    * I also need to try and figure out how to get on to my British gas account as i am having trouble logging on as they have swapped me over to the new account  - Well I have managed to log on using the old email I had with them,  Looks very sparce in the account but figures do look like they have gone across.  I still don't know why they paid some of the money I was saving in there back to me without me asking.

    Right I will keep going :)
