Shower mixer tap dripping

Typically, you need a small precision screwdriver for this.

Difficult to say. Can you make a better photo from the left?

Thanks grumbler, I'll get some better photos in daylight tomorrow.
The left one diverts between the fixed head and flexible hose, the right one controls the temperature. It started leaking out the left one first and now both.
Although it does still work switching between the two shower heads.0 -
You are half-way there, Frogglet :-)It seems strange that the RH side would also start to leak - are you sure it isn't LH water running along the underside of the chrome body from left to right before dripping off there?Anyhoo, you'll need to find out how to unscrew that cartridge, so a good close-up photo (end-on, and slight angle) would help tomoz.0

I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.
You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.0 -

I'm wondering if this mixer has totally failed as its not suitable for high pressure as its leaking from both sides.
At the price of that one I think it would be cheaper to replace the lot.

Chances are that your shower has just suffered a worn out control valve. If you can work out how to remove it, a fix could be very simple and cheap. For this solution, could you provide close-up photos of the exposed end? But, complete replacement is always an option. The biggest issue here is whether the HandC supplies are in the same place as your current mixer.Have you worked out whether the RH side is actually dripping too?0

I posted a couple of replies with photos which seem to have disappeared.
I wonder if its because I followed the email link and posted there.
Both sides are dripping, more than dripping really.

I have feeling that the black plastic cylinder on the left side is screwed into the mixer and can be removed with bare hands or with a strap wrench.
