Well according to Halifax i am very likely to get a 18% apr CC with them. They offer me this on their Credit Extra page along with an OD (which i already have with them). Happy days!
So i go and apply do the eligibility check and well.. im not eligible for one due to my credit file.
What gives!0 -

Interesting thing is that I'm pre-approved for Lloyds credit cards and a second Halifax CC, but I did an eligibility check for MBNA and it said they can't offer me a credit card (I was pre-approved for MBNA too, about a half year ago).0 -

Hmmm mine is just a blue screen. Oh well
says updated on 6th so I'll look after then. Cheers for info.0 -
Yes same - updated on the 6th! Screenshot attached for the lending offers. However as mentioned before, taking it with a pinch of salt as if tried for a CC and it comes up as not eligible so goodness knows why they are getting my hopes up! I do already however have an OD with Halifax so not sure why they are posting that again.

Is the reason for non eligibility because you've tried too many times in the last 30 days, or different?0
-
No, it tells you something different if that is the case. Says a message like you have already applied in the last 30 days please try again later. It just says the usual template all banks use, check ur credit report etc1

Ahh - if you wanted a definitive answer; you could ring them and ask if you've any credit card offers available. Apparently they're good like that.I've no cards with HFX and no need for one yet, but when holidays open up it might be prudent for me to open Clarity to accompany my Zero.0

Yes, i think im gonna wait 6 months then do it. I have a default and couple of CCJ that are due to come off in a few months. Plus ive made one or two applications for credit in Dec (which were accepted) - so like you in no rush yet but always wanted the Clarity card1
