I've sent the chauffeur out with the stretched Bentley and will leave the door on the latch.
I'm popping down to the lower field to sort out the drainage, so excuse muddy wellies when you all arrive.
There is a draft coming from under my kitchen units but I reckon empty bottles and cans will work as an insulator so please chuck your empties under there.Signature on holiday for two weeks3 -

Already half way through a bottle of absinthe (just the two of us at the moment). Opening a bottle of port shortly <hic>.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

Just popping to say hello. I've been drunk for three days now, but haven't forgotten you!I've left a bottle of curaçao on the table. I blame it for everything but it was good while it lasted. Take your chances! XxEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Hi Doozergirl
Sorry I missed you but thanks for the curacao. It made an interesting & very colourful cocktail with my Galliano & midori.Must admit, I’m a little disappointed at this year’s shindig. Everyone’s either asleep under their heated throws or incapable of movement due to multiple layers of polyester, merino wool, duck down etc.
I suggest we all start a kitty & contribute all savings from 2023 energy suppliers’ savings sessions so that next new year @Mutton_Geoff can leave the lights on & heat up those ‘use by 24 December’ pigs in blankets.Happy New Year to everyone. Night night4 -
OMG, that was a long session. I’m not entirely sure that those fireworks were meant to be used indoors, but the candle lit sitting room was very festive until some clumsy oaf kicked one over and set the curtains on fire. My memory is a bit hazy, never tried curacao or absinthe before, but the firemen were gorgeous though a bit bad tempered, as if the problem was out fault. I look forward to next years gathering, I’m sure the insurance company will have the damage fixed by then.2
