Left Shell after price hike. Where next?

The next best value is the Virgin m100 at £18.40 a month after perks. Shell was £16.75. Don't need broadband straight away and don't really need these speeds so what's the likelihood that there will be a better deal in January? Should I just snap up the Virgin deal before it ends?
