Needing plan advice

Seventh Anniversary Combo Breaker
Hi all,

I’m planning on travelling in the next few months(crazy I know) and I’m unsure about the way I should do things.

I’m about to buy a new iPhone outright and plan to use a pay as you go sim - most likely Smarty which offers 30GB for £10/pm. However when it comes to travel, they don’t have much flexibility outside of Europe, and I’m looking at travelling to various countries in South America.

Three has a great roaming policy which would cover some of the countries I would visit, but it would cost me around £27 a month for a pay as you go sim with the same data as Smarty which is steep.

Then there’s the option of local sims abroad and even travel sims - I’m just unsure of the most cost effective method which also allows me decent flexibility.

Thanks in advance
