Crockery, cutlery & glassware that's always replaceable?

I've got various vintages of Portmeirion dinner plates but they aren't the same underlying crockery so they're not exactly the same. It's only obvious when stacking them in the cupboard. I don't particularly care if any of it matches though, I'm not entering a competition, doing photo shoots in my house or running a restaurant!

Thanks for all your replies, good to hear there's actually some still being made from way back so will check them out.Might get a potter's wheel, Kiln, furnace, anvil and bellows to make some myself depending on how emotionally damaged I'm getting seeing odd items increasing in my kitchen....dammit I'm losing it.As advised though, I'll probably go for a budget range and be sure to get extra sets....will probably have to rent a lock up garage. Thanks again.0

Churchill is a good solid budget range. Been going for a couple of centurariesDenby is a classic sturdy one. Also stays with the pattern because they keep it simple.Duchess China another oldie is a more elegant bone china and lasts for agesI used to paint china with Churchill mugs the kitchen stuff, they would bounce on almost anything they were so solid.Duchess bone china I'm still using 30yrs on. This sort is relative easy to source if it's end of range.I'd be inclined to go for the established old potteries (they do modern patterns) who are more likely to be able to maintain a range than the designer ones.Going to the factory shops in Stoke can be expensive but you can pick up seconds which are fine and it's wonderful to see how it's made.

Personally I can't stand it but this has been made since 1913 and very good if you ever have a monarch round for tea and scones. https://www.burleigh.co.uk/collections/regal-peacock

Wouldn't recommend going for cheap flimsy cafe type cutlery. Food always tastes nicer when eaten with decent heavy weight cutlery.
