Crockery, cutlery & glassware that's always replaceable?

Is there a company or brand that will always sell the same range so you know that if you break one or want to increase your set, you can always buy more?
I know there are websites that can help you locate discontinued ranges but I'm looking for a future-proof range.
I'm wondering if a commercial company like Nisbets do this. Restaurants must have a source where they can get the same range since they deal with more breakages than me!
Thanks very much.

I think you'll need a crystal ball to know which companies will keep producing which products for however long.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

The only way to be certain to always get replacements is to buy plain white crockery. Even if a company commits always to produce a range there is no guarantee that the company itself will continue trading.

Thanks for your replies. It's as much as I expected. A shame though, I would've thought there would be a market for that idea e.g. John Lewis selling a basic range of white crockery etc.I think it'll certainly have to be white for crockery and patternless designs for others to have a chance of looking the same. Thanks again.0

Perhaps look at IKEA, also consider buying more of what you do opt for and carefully pack it away for use down the line.

Even the basic ranges change over time when shapes and size change and go in and out of fashion, as well as the colour. Can’t see it happening. All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -
The other half bought twice what we needed when we got our set. Had it been my choice I would have just had a mismatch; it wouldn't look mental if they were all different.

I doubt there is any range with a guarantee of future production, but a long (ish) history might indicate an enduring popularity that's not subject to the whims of fashion, which should also bode well for the future. I've favoured Portmeirion Botanicals for decades, which has proven easy to replace broken items over the years. I also don't believe in having a 'best' set so it gets used for everything.0

We're still using the IKEA plates and bowls bought 20 years ago, they still sell it. I just pick up a couple of replacements whenever I happen to be in there.

Simply work out what and how many items you will be likely to break over the next 30 years and purchase that amount. You could store the surplus in the garage, shed or loft0

We've got the weeding cutlery still
but have used Ikea stuff for a long time. The forks disappear which means we've collected a lot of everything else over the years, but I think they have finally started
selling some of it separately. The pasta dishes stay the same shape but seem to change colour.I've just bought 12 of everything that is Maxim from M&S. I bought some of that four years ago and it's enduring that long, but who knows when it will change .Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
