Ok it's kind of what I thought. I'll look for the articles. Just a bit of a shame.0

Others are more specialised in UK travel issues than I am, I have a very good knowledge of international travel rules and advice on consumer rights.teabeagea said:Hello allDoes anyone know where I can find an official phone number I can ring to get help with regards travel within the UK rather than interpret the rules in the wrong way .
Thank you
If you post your question here, we should be able to come up with a link to the advice you need and a reasonable explanation of our interpretation of this on request. This is likely the best you'll get.💙💛 💔0 -

My general question is I live about a 4 hour drive from family and we had planned on a short outdoor non physical contact meeting half way to exchange Christmas presents for the children , all being very very almost o c d careful during the original 5 day break but know that's gone I'm trying to figure out what's legal or advised . I live in a tier 2 they in a 3 .
I don't want to start a keyboard warrior thread about this that and the other . I have been very careful and followed government rules and I wish more people did BUT I believe doing this trip is minimal risk no contact literally drive 20 min chat and exchange then drive home . Far less risky then going to my work place etc but not sure and confused as to legal or advised .

In this case, unless other support bubble criteria apply, it will be Christmas day only.💙💛 💔0 -

In this case, unless other support bubble criteria apply, it will be Christmas day only.Possibly less traffic on the road on Christmas Day (although my experience of madness on Christmas Eve and relatively low traffic on Christmas Day is based on local journeys only). But a 2 hour journey for both parties may mess up plans.1 -
It isn't about the risk, it is about the rules. Otherwise those living in tier 4 would be allowed to travel abroad to areas where the infection rate is much lower than in their area in the UKI'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
