why? does the sonos soundbar have an auto-translate facility ?  :)
Who said anything about translating? :)
You said it would stop you needing subtitles so I assumed it would auto translate for you :)
Well while i do have a fair few martial arts movies with subtitles, my comment about the subtitles was relating to me being deaf :)

Although this is the internet a.k.a. the land of the literal, I am not officially deaf. I just struggle at times. Not sure if it's a certain range or pitch or whatever. I got sick of having to rewind a program/film just to see what was said as i didn't catch it so i just watch things with subtitles these days.

When i was looking for soundbars i saw some that claimed to have a feature where it enhanced the dialogue or whatever but i don't know how well they did it in reality.
I am in a similar situation as i am hard of hearing ,i can hear a lot of programs BUT on one of my favorite tv programs ,The Big Bang Theory ,i cannot understand a word said by Melissa rauch ,Bernadette Wolowitz , its just a high pitched noise and although i wear a hearing aid when out and about i do not wear it when i first get up in the morning ,thank god for sub titles.
