Oil or water based paint

Hi all. I would appreciate some opinions please if possible. I am going to repaint my skirting boards, staircase, doors and door frames again to make them look better and they also do show dirt easily (particularly the bannister). They do currently have water based paint.
I prefer the look of oil paint but am worried about it yellowing in time. I did buy Leyland trade satinwood paint today but am considering returning it as I am worried about it yellowing.
Can I please get some opinions on what kind of paint you would all use if you were me and maybe which brand is best?
I woudk like to avoid having repaint in 6 months or a year if it starts to yellow.

Pretty much all solvent based paint will yellow in time. If you're going for satinwood anyway I'd just stick to a water based alternative such as the Dulux Trade Quick Dry product, their Quick Dry gloss is also good.1

Water-based are trickier to lay off, but it's all I use for internal woodwork. The VOC reduction alone is worth it.
I normally use Johnstone's aqua.1 -
Oil based paint is now excellent and I now use nothing else. The extra day or so it takes to dry is well worth it for the harder finish.
Dulux Diamond won't yellow after 6 years, never mind 6 months.0 -
I've just done the skirtings and doors of our new extension in Dulux Trade Satinwood - water-based.The only negative issue I had with it is that it runs very easily, and that's not even applying it thickly. I ended up having to apply it super-thinly, much more so that I would usually do, and used a good quality synthetic brush, finishing with long light strokes. This thankfully worked, but it did require three coats to get acceptable coverage. Everything else was 'good' about using it.Very pleased with how it turned out, and it's very white - and should stay that way; it seems pretty tough too.Subsequent coats were easier to apply. As I said, the only negative was its propensity to run. (Gratified when wife was criticising my speed - or lack thereof - so I handed her the brush. Lawdie...1

Use eggshell finish paint instead. It looks good and is water based so won't yellow like oil based paint.0

Thank you for the replies. Many different opinions as to expected. I might go for either Dulux trade water based satinwood or Dulux Diamond Oil satinwood if it really doesn't yellow. Will read some reviews.0

I use satinwood now, oil based paints seem to yellow after a year or so, and you are back to square one
Satinwood doen'ts seem to yellow as quickly and its easier/quicker to sand & over paint, maybe the finish isn't as good as oil based paint, so its swings and roundabouts0 -
Yes, it's frustrating that there are no oil paints that don't yellow as I much prefer the look of them.0

Is there a cheaper water based alternative to the Dulux by any chance? More than double the price of Leyland.
Is this one any good? Seems to get decent reviews online.
