The driver may not have seen the Excel sign because of the parked cars and the protrusions on the building. The Railway Ticket machine is more prominent and the first one that you see when entering from the left hand side of the Travelodge.  There is a Railway Ticket machine to the right as well.

This is my annotation of the the photo/plan from the newspaper article.  Please note that I received two different photos from Excel showing the bay allocations - ie they say that some of the bays in the grouping where I was parked are theirs.

Excellent photographs.  I get the impression that if this gets to court, claimant may have a mountain to claim.  Is the MP  on board?

This is one of the two plans Excel provided to me - they say this is the correct one:

  • This is the other plan they provided - when I questioned it they said it was not the right one:

  • I've searched the other threads involving this car park, and apologies if I've missed it, but which areas are actually Excel's and in their lease, is it clear what areas of the car park are theirs?
  • Snakes_Belly, thank you for the photos and your commentary.  I think the only indication in the car park of the Excel bays where I was parked (if their plan is correct) are in yellow which has faded.
