Well I almost made it for the 1st time ever, I got down to £267.45 away from being debt free, until our boiler went and we had to get a new one, so I'm now back up to £2,267.45
It's had to go onto the credit card, but after some thinking, I think I'm going to get a credit Union loan out on Monday, and pay the card off completely, then repay the loan back over 2 years. Not and ideal solution, but I will save money, as the interest on a credit union loan is far far less than what I will be paying than the credit card, It'll save me around £200 alone in interest.
Well done to everyone who has become debt free so far, and to those who are about to become debt free soon, well done. To those who are still plodding along like myself, keep going! It's really hard, especially with the way things are at the moment but we can do this! The support and encouragement from this thread alone is enough to keep me goingPay all debt off by Christmas 2025 £815.45/£3,000£1 a day challenge 2025 - £180/£730 Declutter a bag a week in 2025 11/52Lose 25lb - 10/25lbs Read 1 book per week - 5/52Pay off credit card debt 18%/100%2 -
