If you had bothered to read what I had said, you would understand that some manufacturers will add an ADDITIONAL warranty, but there is absolutely no legal requirement on them to do so, and they can impose whatever conditions they wish (e.g. original purchaser only / receipt required / whatever) on that additional warranty.
