  • I totally agree on that but I was only replying to the comment that stated that in the UK, any warranty or guarantee is with the seller and not the manufacturer, something that is far from being the case.
    Any legal or statutory rights that you have are solely with the seller, and NOT with the manufacturer.

    If you had bothered to read what I had said, you would understand that some manufacturers will add an ADDITIONAL warranty, but there is absolutely no legal requirement on them to do so, and they can impose whatever conditions they wish (e.g. original purchaser only / receipt required / whatever) on that additional warranty.
