Do you send anything Special Delivery then check the time

Just thought i post this for people who send things Special Delivery.

I sent something yesterday so tracked it today at 2pm just to see if the buyer got it as i promised it would be. Now it was signed for at 13.41 which is 41mins over the time Royal Mail promise you.

So i then went back and got all my other slips and checked the time on those and out of the 6 i checked 4 were over the 1pm deadline the latest being 14.31.

They now have said i need to fill in a form to claim them back which i will get next time i go to the post office. I asked was there a deadline on the claims and the CS person said no.

So if anyone has got any SD items check those times

No you need to phone them on 01752387112 and they tell you the exact time as all SD items are scanned many times.

    im afraid you are misinformed.
    think about it.
when you recieve an SD you sign a piece of paper dont you?
so how do you think the time of the scan relates to the time of delivery?

Also if you do a check online and it just says "your item has been delivered" 99% of the time this means its late , in my experience anyway.

You can do the claim on the phone and they just send a cheque out, thats how ive always done it, no forms to fill in , i think they are trying to fob you off

I think he means when it says 'Your item has been delivered' and not 'Your item was delivered at blah blah time on blah blah date'

When i have checked SD items that i have posted online and get the message "your item has been delivered" instead of a time , i have rung up & 99% of the deliveries that get that message have been delivered late

i will say it again.the time on the website means nothing.
customer services have NO access to any times bar those on the website.
the only way an accurate time could be inputed is if those scanning signatures were inputting times
maybe they are but its seems sporadic going by track & trace
the time on the website has nothing to do with delivery times.
all SD items get that delivered message given the way the system works.
as i said you sign a piece of paper so how do you think that adds a time to the website?
