So, the title is pretty self explanatory, but this is the place to be in 2021 :D it's that time of year, again!

In 2021, the aim is to save £12k (or, any other amount if you like) from 1st January 2021 til 31st December 2021. I know it's early, but it gives you the time to plan for how you are going to do it. Please comment on the thread to sign up and any plans you might have to hit your aim!

It would be nice if people felt they could chat about their savings  challenges through the months, as it probably will help other people too  :)

  • Hi Slowlyfading, wed like to sign up again. We were #26 in 2020 - happy with any number for 2021.

We would like to set our target as £13,500. We managed to beat that this year but that was down to all things COVID. Next year will be a challenge to achieve that as our family got one baby bigger in the middle of November - maternity pay!!!

Put me down for 12k.  Something to keep focused on in 2021, and something other than my trip to Lanzarote being cancelled, and this 3 week lockdown starting Boxing Day to think about!

@Betharooni if you add your 15k for 2020 to your house deposit, you'll be a lot closer to target

I'd love to sign up please for 12k. I was following along this year and wished I signed up in 2019! I found this a really inspiring thread that kept me going through lockdown 1 and 2.
My plans will be to pick up overtime where possible at work, continue to use a 0 based budget and paying myself first on payday.

    Thanks :)
