Closing Barclays Help to Buy ISA

Hi,
Apologies if this has already been covered, I did a quick search and didn't find anything recent.
I am looking at closing my Barclays Help to Buy ISA and claiming the bonus.
I have read on reddit that it is quite common to have issues with barclays... I need to make sure the closing statement is produced before the money is transferred out.
I am going to go into a branch, but someone mentioned it is better to go in Mon-Fri? Is this true? I wanted to go into a branch tommorow (saturday) but I want to reduce the chances of them messing it up - Does anyone have a better knowledge of the process involved so I can reduce the chances of a screwup? Is it better to do on a working day?

How time sensitive is this? I would not wait for a weekday given how close we are to the festive period. If you are hoping they can print a closing statement in branch during your visit, then that would be something to verify up front.

Completion date is not set yet, but will most likely be early january, I prefer to get it closed as soon as possible, as I believe the bonus needs to be applied for before completion. Maybe I can clarify regarding the closing statement tommorow

I closed mine in a branch with no problem, make sure they transfer the money out as the closing transaction not transfer it out, then close it in 2 separate transactions

I agree with eddie - Barclays should give you 2 closing statements - one for you to keep and the other to give your conveyancer/ solicitor who will arrange to claim your bonus for you.0
