Am I being ripped off?

We've moved into our own home and to be honest, we're fairly clueless when it comes to what things should cost etc. We had some work done in one room that had to be redone 3 times due to cowboys (despite them having excellent reviews online and us feeling like we'd done adequate research!) and now we're feeling quite deflated. We need the bathroom doing badly, it's an absolutely tiny room (no room for a bath) so we decided to have the bathroom in the small bedroom (2.90m x 2.80m).
We went to a bathroom company who sent out their recommended installer, he has quoted us £8000 to install, this price doesn't include any of the products. I've done a bit of reading online and while I know that it's hard to compare, this price seems very high, with many websites saying the average cost is £4500 (installation). Is there anyone on here who is in the business that could advise if we're being ripped off? This is way out of our budget
Here's a list of what is included in the £8000. Thanks

Only a proper job done well is acceptableCan't comment on the price, but I would say - Do you really want a macerator on the toilet ?When they go wrong, it is a real nasty job to clean out and repair. If you can plumb in to an existing 4" waste pipe, you'll save a lot of grief in the future.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.3 -

...and to say nothing of the noise. Do you really want everyone woken up if someone flushes the toilet in the night (including the neighbours if the room has a party wall)?0 -

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.1 -
You could go to a local plumb merchant for good names of bathroom fitters. Places like topps tiles etc will recommend people also.0

I had my Bathroom re-fitted in November last year, I sourced everything from City Plumbing. I found a local fitter who knew a plasterer and an electrician and the lot for a room a little smaller than yours was just over 5k.
I saved money by stripping what I could of the old bathroom myself, tiles and flooring. The bath the plumber cut in to 3 bits and along with the sink and toilet took them to my local tip who charge £21 to take them (skips are not cheap) the tip also took the tiles and flooring for no charge.
In the shower enclosure I had multi panels fitted and also as a splash back behind the sink, the other walls and ceiling I painted myself, a lot of the labour costs will be for the tiling, which is why multi panels are worth looking in to.
Is there a local spotted site on FB? if so ask on there for recommendations and have a look at their work and contact past customers.SPC 0371
