Toilet seat how to remove

Options
We have a built in toilet and want to change the seat. I cant fathom out how to remove it.
It should be a top fitting one but I'm worried it's not.

Underneath the toilet, basically right under the silver circles there should be nuts that you loosen then take off, allowing you to remove the main seat.

As said, a threaded rod screws into the bottom of the discs, goes through the toilet and has a nut on the bottom. If the nut and threaded rod are rusted, I've sometimes found it easier to use a pair of pliers to unscrew the whole nut and rod from the disc, they often come undone together anyway. It's only about half a dozen turns.

If not top fitted and If truly built in?  there will a screw each side holding to floor.

Unscrew and pull pan away from wall / drain pipe to get access.

    If top fitting look here:

This is the toilet . Its got a substantial frame  built with 2x4 timber and plaster boarded and skirting around.
I know the usual bottom and top fix methods,  but am wondering if this is a bottom fix toilet seat then boarded in.
I was also wondering if this is a top fix seat I havent seen before.
Whatever it is ,  is there a way to remove it  without dismantling the wall ?

It looks like a flush to the wall pan.

So the hinges / removal should be same as the amazon link.

Lift the access cover and have a look.., how it is attached to cistern.

I tried lifting them but either they are well rusted or don't. The lid doesn't have any buttons to release it from the hinges like in the link.

If it is a top fitting one you should be able to prise the two silver disks up and unscrew it.

    Then wash your hands  :)

Can you lift the dark wooden shelf to get into the area behind the toilet? You might have to bend and twist a bit - to see if you can reach it - otherwise it's going to be a pit of a pain - and a job for an angle grinder.

Ok try taking the rusty screws out. Prize the seat apart if you have to. Take seat away.
Try turning and lifting part on pan.

Looks more like a drill out job if that does not work.

Or a hacksaw through the plastic seal.
    Let remnants fall inside.

Thanks everyone. I'll try prising it off a bit more firmly.
I cant get to the underside of the toilet from the false wall.
