The noise and the dust were the two big downsides for me and enough to put me off. There wasn't really anything else. My flat got dusty so fast and also it's not great for your health. With the constant hum of traffic, you'll never have a quiet house. If you're a light sleeper I guarantee you'll have loud motorbikes waking you up through the night. When I moved I rented a room in a flat that wasn't near as nice but oh my god I loved how quiet it was.fsttb said:

If you do view it bring a tape measure (or even better a laser distance measurer) to check Bedroom 4. Those dimensions are just for the widest parts of the room.

We used to own a house on a busy main road, with a bus stop/double yellows outside and not far from traffic lights too. It was a lovely detached Victorian 'villa' with massive garden in a south coast city but I hated every minute of the five years we lived there ☹️ It was noisy (beautiful original single glazed windows), dusty and impossible to park, although eventually we rented a garage opposite the property. Not much fun with a toddler/all their stuff....
A few years later we bought a pretty thatched house on the A30, thinking it wouldn't be as bad. Big mistake! The house was at the foot of a hill and used to shake throughout its three storeys whenever heavy traffic bombed down the hill......
No more main roads for us 😉Mortgage-free for fourteen years!

Looks not bad, no idea if the price will hold up in future, as for drunks/take away shop/groups of people that is just normal part of big town/city living, some people like the feeling of life going on outside their front door.0

Why do you say that about the price holding up? If we end up buying this won't be our forever home but likely 2 to 5 years. No one can predict what will happen to house prices in the next two to five years.fsttb said:

The longer you stay in a property the less likely you are to lose money.
If you only plan to stay for a couple of years then you really need to factor in estate agents fees, legal fees and moving costs into the equation when deciding if it is worth buying or not.0
