Hi,
I would be interested to hear confirmation from anyone who has used Boots test and was it accepted on entry to Spain.

Which type of test are talking about? A PCR Test / LAMP Test or the anti-gen one?0

I believe PCR test is required for entry to Spain?"A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

I believe it's a PCR or LAMP test. The LAMP tests have a quicker turnaround. Antigen still not accepted in mainland Spain.0

Hopefully someone will confirm they had a Boots test which was accepted on entry to Spain."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Boots do PCR tests for £120, turn around promised within 48 hours. PCR tests are definitely accepted by Spain.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. That is my understanding. Test must be within 72 hours of arrival and turnaround for result is 48 hours, makes it a little tight(?) and I have read reports of people being fined and sent home.silvercar said:Boots do PCR tests for £120, turn around promised within 48 hours. I was looking for feedback from someone who had gained entry using this test."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

What is your source of people being "fined and sent home"? I have not travelled during the pandemic but assume that If someone does not have a test within the timescales the airline should not allow them to board their flight (like turning up at the airport without your passport) they would get refused travel. It would be interesting to know who is fining people.0 -
I tried using boots on Mon and couldn't find ANY branch in London that had any availability for a PCR test before Jan!
In the end i used Express Test https://www.expresstest.co.uk/ I went to their drive-thru place at Heathrow (they have other places elsewhere) on Tuesday, for £80 and got the result by email on Wed. I stopped at a pharmacy for something separate on the way back and they had a sign saying they did fit-to-fly certificates - for £170. And a Southall pharmacy told me on Mon they wanted £250!
That PCR test cert got me into Tenerife South OK just today. I did see some women having problems with NOT having the Spanish government QR code thingie but luckily they did it on their phones there and then. But the gate was about to close and they got the QR code with literally 1 minute to spare, so watch out!0 -
