Get broadband now or after Christmas?

I'm out of contract with PlusNet and want to change.
But should I wait a couple of weeks - does anyone know if there are usually better deals after Christmas/New Year?
Thanks, Mark

Shop around now...
See what sky are offering,Mahendra ring them and hagglemake the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.1 -
Find a better deal and give Plusnet a ring. They may match it.But make sure any deals you give Plusnet to bounce off are genuine, or at the very least plausible.2

In previous years I've noticed good deals in the first half of January, but I've never beeen in a position to take them up.

Personally I'd be a bit wary of trying to initiate switch between now and the New Year coz if it goes wrong there will be even fewer people around to sort it out than there are at the moment and there have been recent instances where it's all gone horribly wrong.
There are always deals about and as Neil says, see what you can haggle with PlusNet if you are happy with themNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers2 -
Don't go with Sky, I joined when the black friday deal was on, free calls anytime to uk landlines and mobiles with fibre broadband for £25 per month for 18 months, just found out by chance that they are charging me for all calls when I phoned up to talk about it was told it's not on offer anymore, so can't help you, happy Christmas is how he ended the call

I've decided to leave it until after the new year and not risk an internet screw-up over Christmas. Thanks for your replies.

You have 14 days cooling off, if you pick another provider nothing's going to happen until the 4th of January anyway. You sound like you're delaying just for the sake of delaying.Have you checked the market and asked Plusnet if they will match a deal you've found?0
