Currys Know How e voucher less than cost of the TV

Perhaps you're right if the Knowhow "warranty" was used ... Consumer Rights may have a different slant on this.

The original TV cost £825, and the refund was £529. They explained that as my TV was discontinued, they look for a similar spec model, in this case 49" 4K Samsung. I checked and I could get similar spec models for that sort of price.Uptown_Boy said:How much was the refund as a percentage of the original purchase price? (Since you seem reluctant to answer any other questions about price/refund value). If it was less then 60% then you've been "done" ... especially as the refund was to a voucher rather than the original payment method. (I'm presuming you didn't pay originally with a gift card/voucher).Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.0 -
64% equivalent ... so reasonable.0

That will ( exactly) get you the 50tu8500 .. which is a great tv , comes with a 5 yr warranty ( not sure if from Samsung or currys)Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0

Which seems fair, although did you pay extra for the warranty?A few years ago I got a full refund on a 4.5 yr TV from Costco... allowed me to upgrade. (although in fact the replacement Sony o/s was chunky)Any posts on here are for information and discussion purposes only and shouldn't be seen as (financial) advice.0
