"What he's telling me, is that he opened the packaging, saw the wrong phone+phone box inside, opened that to look at it,"Why would anyone, when seeing a "Ulefone" box and not a fruity phone box, open that box in the first place? I would expect that box to be sealed in some way.And then chuck all the packaging away.Did they also remove the Ulefone, take off any protective plastics, switch it on and set it up too?I most certainly wouldn't.0

Sadly, you're on the hook for the contract costs because the contract is in your name. It's up to you whether you want to try and negotiate some sort of payment plan from your relative, because that's the only way you're going to get any money back. I can't see you have any way of enforcing anything, other than through family influence. To the tune of almost £2k. For nothing tangible.I wouldn't do that for even the closest family member.I wonder what the OP's parents are going to do.I'm guessing the family member is the OP's sibling.

hi, just wondering if this ever got sorted as I’m in exactly the same position and it’s been going on for 2 months now. It’s resulted in Tesco telling me they are going to take almost £900 out of my bank account by 23rd December, not what I need before Christmas and I don’t know how to go about it. They’ve said they took up an investigation with DPD and the fraud team have come back stating it’s me that sent a ‘fake device’, when all I did was return a Samsung ultra that Tesco sent out to me instead of the IPhone 15 pro like I ordered.0
