CCJ From CEL

I have a CCJ From Civil Enforcement Ltd for an unwarranted parking fine I had no idea about from back in 2018.
What is my FIRST course of action?
Appeal with them directly?
Or
Set aside using the N244 form?

Why did you have "no idea"?

What is my FIRST course of action? You can't appeal! You can email to ask Wonga-man and his 'legal team' at CEL to consent to set aside but THAT DOES NOT NOT NOT MEAN PAYING THEM THE PCN EVEN THOUGH THEY WILL SAY IT DOES...
Your thread makes us think you haven't yet read the two examples of what to do to set aside a CCJ, as linked in the NEWBIES THREAD POST #2. So, that's your first thing to do.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I never received anything from them. They have the wrong address as I moved home at a similar time.Johnthegrump said:Wprice83 said:I have a CCJ From Civil Enforcement Ltd for an unwarranted parking fine I had no idea about from back in 2018.

I read it last night along with a few others but Its alot to take in. I read on one of them to never contact CEL directly but somewhere else it said that is the first thing to do. Quite frankly I would pay the parking fine, even though i shouldnt of got it if they removed the CCJ from me.Coupon-mad said:What is my FIRST course of action? You can't appeal! Is this thread discussing the same incident as on the thread you started yesterday?0

Just read some other CEL threads and you will soon be up to speed. Do that first.
There's no need for us to explain (yet again) who Wonga-man is, when there forum search will show you in a nano second (if it works).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It looks to me that it is the same issue. OP you should send a PM to a board guide (Savvy or Soolin) and ask one of them to merge your threads. It can become very confusing (for you as well as regulars) if answers are given on two separate threads about the same issue.KeithP said:Is this thread discussing the same incident as on the thread you started yesterday?2 -
I must admit, I have never used a forum before. It's hard to navigate!
