look on look on the bright side, after 18 months of non payment, the bank account must have a sizeable sum in it for you to pay the bill off in one go.Be happy, it's the greatest wealth

Not quite enough as the fix will have ended and the DD gone up . Assuming he checks his bank statements as often as his bills, reads his meters ............................Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill1

Such maturity being showed on this thread. No wonder the OP decided to disappear.

I never check my spam folder, I don't know anyone who does. I will ring them tomorrow as been in the chat Q for ages nowGenuine emails get flagged as spam on occasion. That's how most energy companies communicate with the customers now. Letters are effectively old hat communication wise now, unless there is a need to highlight to your attention something really really important. As for checking spam folders... if you'd spotted the issue in the first place you would have highlighted it as not spam and future ones would have gone to the right placeAnd they probably have noticed, that's probably what the emails were about.
I would have thought that 18-months of no payment was really really important!

It’s not the sender who decides whether something goes in a recipients spam folder. The few seconds per day it takes to check your spam / junk folder would have been time well spent in the OPs case. OP needs to accept some responsibility here.PennineAcute said:Neil_Jones said:thrifty247 said:I don't dispute that I have used the energy, but tis situation is not my fault, they have not sent me any communications by mail, only robotic emails - why have they not noticed that payments have not been received? The issue was self inflicted on the part of the OP. Didn't notice any payments had gone out for 18 months and didn't look at any of the emails that would have told them there was an issue. Self-inflicted situations that occur by accident are one thing, self-inflicted that occur by neglect and/or somebody's deliberate actions are quite another. This is clearly the latter case, especially since the OP said they have a separate account just for direct debits which they've said they don't examine but just pay money into and they found all the emails in their Spam folder which they said they don't bother to check. 2 minutes work per month if that would have averted the entire situation, the OP could have done that while waiting for the kettle to boil first thing one morning.PennineAcute said:Such maturity being showed on this thread. I think the OP's choice of username was somewhat optimistic for someone who doesn't bother to check a single bank statement in 18 months.....No free lunch, and no free laptop

A situation almost entirely self inflicted, some people just cant be helped.
I see their oblivious to their rudeness, perhaps sadly always will be.1
