I was fine with no bags before covid, it worked much better than I thought it would.
But that depended on the driver coming inside and at the moment neither I nor the driver are happy with that.

I used to shop at Sainsbury and had my shopping delivered for about three years, I find the home delivery service a much better money saving tool, love the convenience and appreciated the "help" as I work in a stressful job, but like you I objected to being forced to go bagless. there are greenr options such as paperbags or boxes both of which I would be happy to pay for yet Sainsbury clearly refuse to think about other options. So I switched to Tesco. Their service is OK, the trayliners are better than nothing but can be difficult to lift if overful or have heavy items in them. I have to say though every week there are issues with my shop, really short dates, bruised fruit and veg, it seems contrite complaining every week. I have a friend who shops with waitross, her shopping comes bagged but they get to give old bags back for proper recyling - but alas I cannot afford waitross. I really wish Sainsburys would think again!0
