    Cashback and VAT perhaps?
No Cashback froom London Power and CEC quotes are gross anyway.

  • CEC lists London Power as my cheapest provider at £1057 per year.  However when I go to the London Power website and enter exactly the same consumption figures I get a quote of£1164!  Any idea why the difference?
Somewhat disingenuously London Power don't offer you their cheapest tariff on their website. It is there if you find the link to 'see other tariffs' but you have to email or call them to switch to them. Don't know why they do this. The comparison sights pick up the cheaper tariffs hence the difference you saw. Plus they seem to be introducing slightly more expensive tariffs fairly quickly.

It's still worth the extra effort as they are very competitive rates and it is run by Octopus.
