There are plenty of free sites and i know people of all ages who have been successful doing this so it's not limited to a certain age range as it once may have been.
But it doesn't just have to be dating there are so many ways to meet and talk to like minded people online it just comes down to what your personal interests are.
The one thing that I should try to do, is to find a person that wants a relationship. I believe my ex only wanted to date, to get out once in a while. I think that is more common if you are older.

To meet someone for a relationship I joined Dateline (showing my age here - if you don;t know what that is its a dating agency similar I suspect to Tinda?)  I joined and two weeks in (after going out each night) I met someone - that someone is now my DH and in September we celebrated our 27th wedding anniversary.  I know things are different at the moment and I am not up-to-date with the online dating scene, but it worked for me.

  • I've seen quite a few acquaintances find romance this year, no idea what method they used  or how they progressed their relationships without breaking the rules...
I read yesterday that one Yale professor predicts a return of the roaring 20's with lavish spending and sex crazed parties once all this is over. But I'm not expecting much difference for the majority of 2021

I guess if its 20/30 year olds that are already aware of each other? Myself, I have walked past people whilst walking my dog, which is a great way to start talking to people, but it would take a few meetings.
My dog finds friendly people, she seems to prefer ladies. I have noticed that if there are people sat on benches eating, the ladies are more likely to offer my dog food.
I have also noticed that on facebook, its mostly ladies that wish me a Merry Christmas.

DD met bf online last summer (don't know which site), engaged at Xmas and set a date for later this year. They're both late 20's so I hope it's not marry in haste. Definitely think lockdown had made them both keener to settle down instead of living alone.
  • There's lots of groups on a site called Meetup that have lots of social local groups centering around different activities. Definitely worth a try
