Ah, that's a shame.
The pressure relief valve doesn't have a pipe coming away from it?
Make and model of boiler?0 -
It does but there's no drip unfortunately.... It's a grant boiler probably 17 years old.Jeepers_Creepers said:Ah, that's a shame.

Just to flow up on this post. I gave up trying to work it out myself and called in a leak specialist company. They found a leaking plastic T-piece under my living room floor using heat sensitive camera and a sonic device. It took about 5 mins to find it. He cut a hole in the floor and used a kango hammer to dig out the concrete to reveal the leaking joint. Luckily damage hadn't spread too far and it just needs to dry out. He tightened the joint and the leak stopped. Pressure has remained constant since. I'll leave it open till after christmas to dry out completely.6

That strikes me as perfectly reasonable for the work they carried out, and will hopefully also be reassuring for others in the same situation - there's been a few 'leaking pipe - concrete floor' threads on here. Were they a local company or a 'National'?Good result :-)1 -
I think they are an Island of Ireland company as they had an office in the North and South. I rang them on Monday morning at 9.30 the person answering the phone explained exactly what they would do and how much it cost (£300+vat) for 2 hours then £95+vat per hours after that. The guy arrived at 12.00 and was gone by 13.30. I got a report with photos emailed the next day.Jeepers_Creepers said:skycatcher said:

That company deserves repeat business. Getting that whole job done well within 2 hours is impressive stuff, and they clearly had no intention of trying to exploit the situation with an 'oops, I've just gone over two hours, soz...'.Good result Sky. :-)(If they have a 'reviews' facility on their website or Google, for example, I think they deserve one for their professionalism and honesty. :-) )0 -
