How long for Marcus account to reflect changes?

No one working is involved in moving money from one account to another. My current accounts still move immediately at the weekends with no one working! Not sure why Marcus should be any different.Thrugelmir said:

I moved my Marcus to Coventry Double Access Saver at 1%. No hassle to do and double what Marcus will be giving you. OK it's not unlimited access but 2 times a year is good enough for me. Not avalibae anymore though. You do need to keep an eye out for what is avaliable. Set up a Raisin account or Hargreaves Lansdown Active savings. They will keep you informed of good rates from all over and once you've set up the account with them it easy to open new accounts. No more details needed.Malkytheheed said:
Is there something much better RE: rates? I only check every year or so. Can't be bothered chasing tiny wins. But then if there is something significantly better?RG2015 said:I have not used Marcus since the rates went down, but from my recollection, they never posted over the weekend. I would expect your transaction to appear in Marcus on Monday dated 12/12/20.0 -

System maintenance has to be performed at some time.3 -
Marcus isn't a current account and isn't a directly connected participant in the Faster Payments scheme....VXman said:

As a saver that's had to playing the rate hunting / savings switching game it still surprises me how arcane some of these savings companies are. Send us verified passports copy etc etc. Always puts me off depositing! I opened a OakNorth account which was pretty easy, but you tend to need to give them a day to get see any fund transferred appearing in your account. It can be disconcerting!1

You say five-figure sum. Most banks have a £10k limit for Faster Payments, so it may have gone via BACS which takes several days. It's best to move larger sums as a secession of four-figure transfers.

I think the faster payment limit is £25k for the Halifax.0
