How long for Marcus account to reflect changes?

I'm starting to get just a little bit nervous. 24 hours ago now, I transferred a significant 5 figure sum into my Marcus account, but it is still not showing (24 hours later). What experiences do people have, I seem to remember it only taking a few minutes to update previously. The money left my other account immediately. I don't see why it should take so long to update? All my other bank accounts (HBOS, Starling etc) update literally instantly.

Its usually pretty much immediate for me.
I take it you did send it from your linked account?

Yes from my linked account.

from Marcus:

How long a transfer takes 

When you add money by bank transfer, it should arrive in your Marcus account as soon as we’ve received it. This tends to be within two hours if your linked account provider uses Faster Payments. You’ll start earning interest on the same day we receive your money.

If you add money using a bank transfer over the weekend, it could take until the end of Monday to show in your Marcus account depending on when we receive it.

I have not used Marcus since the rates went down, but from my recollection, they never posted over the weekend. I would expect your transaction to appear in Marcus on Monday dated 12/12/20.

Is there something much better RE: rates? I only check every year or so. Can't be bothered chasing tiny wins. But then if there is something significantly better?

Not at the moment, 0.50% is about the going rate. I am lucky enough to have opened a Skipton easy access account in September at 1.20%.

Even over a weekend I've never had a problem between NatWest/Marcus either way but (sadly?) never of a 5 figure sum. Four maybe.

Sometimes they do site maintenance over weekend which causes delays.

Personally if I was transferring a large amount, I'd do it on a weekday, so that it should appear straight off & can contact bank if not rather than waiting a couple of days

Weekends are non working days. Never been any different for banks.
