Starling Personal Current Account Card > How Long Until Expiry?

Starling cards have an expiry date of 3 years from the month of issue.
I'm in a similar situation as you, I've been travelling (abroad) for over 3 years now. My starling card has been lost/stolen a few times now. They will only send a new card to a UK address, but it does not have to be your "home" address.
What you might find helpful is Monzo, who will send the card to wherever you are in the world, for a fee. So maybe thats a better option for you.
I have monzo, starling, and revolut, plus a halifax clarity. I'd recommend getting all 3 so that you have a primary spending card (halifax clarity), backup card (starling), backup backup card (monzo), and a visa card (revolut) for places that wont accept mastercard (it does happen).

I'll be moving to the Philippines with my wife. We intend to spend most of the time in the Philippines, but will also spend time travelling to and spending time in other countries in the region.
I intend to get a Filipino bank account once I have met the requirements. I'm thinking I'll probably transfer 3 to 4 months of living expenses at into the local Filipino bank account at any one time.
Tragen, Interesting to hear about Starling only re-issuing a card to a UK address. I'm sure I've read somewhere on Starling's website that they will send a replacement card to you if it's been lost or stolen, whilst you're still abroad and the cost will be £60. It may have been on the FAQs section.

scoot65 said:colsten saidPresently, you must be a UK resident to hold a Starling account. What would you do if they blocked your account (frequent foreign use etc) and sent you a letter about this to the UK address they hold for you?
I'm open to hear any suggestions or solutions...1 -
Thanks for the replies. I'll be contacting my banks to see if they will allow me to keep the account if I was to move out of the UK.

If I were you I'd talk to HSBC. It also has a subsidiary in the Philippines.
