I agree and never said there was anything across the board. On their sub-prime cards the STARTING limits are generally capped at £1200. On mainstream cards such as Debenhams & Amazon there's no max limit or start limit cap.Mnoee said:
https://www.newday.co.uk/products/overview/ - the only one with starting limits listed says between a few hundred and £2.5k. I can't find anything else. My partners starting limit with a newday card was £3k. There's certainly not a £1200 maximum across the board.funkycredit said:
Not at all. Read again. I clearly stated the start limit. Now go to their site and under each product it tells you the MAXIMUM start limit. Yes, they increase regularly but the starting limit for normal clients is usually £1200. For bad credit it's much lower presumably.Deleted_User said:
That's not the case - they vary hugely, from a couple of hundred to a few thousand.funkycredit said:alfred64 said:

The limits vary from a few hundred to several thousand.
I clearly stated this in my last post.
Nope they were correct if you read the summary it says this:
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:0 -
Well yeah, OK the sub prime cards maybe. You said 'normal', not 'sub prime'.funkycredit said:

Not much point discussing it further, we seem to agree they do a range of cards with a range of different starting limits which is all anyone has said in reply to you.0 -
Cheers for all the replies people, I put the large purchase off for a week and then yesterday got an offer from capital one for 3% cashback on all purchases for the next three months from today.
So I shall just buy it with cap one card instead. 👍2
