The UK left the EU on the 31st January 2020.  The transition period ends on 31st December 2020.

The 4 main networks say they won't be charging that much more, but it's not up to them. If one of more of the EU networks want to go back to changing £1 or £2 a minute for roaming calls (and £10 a meg for data) they can.
The big 4 will soon drop back to the old way of changing for roaming then...
But hey, we'll have sovereignty in the UK then and that's all that matters...

If you do you want to make some usage then a £6 goodybag will give you lower rates from credit, you can't use the goodybag allowance after 63 days it just triggers the lower rates of 3.2p/minute, 1p/text, 0.36p/MB rather than the payg rates with no goodybag of 25p/minute, 10p/text, 5p/MB.

Incoming calls and texts are currently always free within the EU.

Don't forget some chargeable usage or a top up once every 6 months to keep the number active.
